dusty came over last night with subway and chocolate milk. mhmm. he had this wonderful idea that we'd have a lord of the rings marathon, complete with his surround sound speakers. those kinds of movies are just not the kind that i get into, but the thought was nice.

i'm a recent winner of 4 ebay auctions. big books comin' my way, folks! the kiddies should like them. i hope they're sent to my school before the thanksgiving break. seems like there's always more to do with teaching... so many things to try in the classroom, and after you try 'em, so many ways to tweak them so they work better in your room and with your kids.

is it wrong that i want a menorah and i'm not jewish? i found a pretty one at pier1.com, but they're out of stock. i'll keep looking.
